Allison Deratzian is a self-proclaimed “itinerant conjurer” who is frequently seen onstage with various theater groups in the Philadelphia area in both musical and non-musical roles. She first encountered the script for ‘night, Mother in 1992 and has been haunted by the story ever since. Never in several million years did she expect to have the opportunity to bring it to the stage, and she is still not entirely sure this is real.
Recent credits have included Betsy/Lindsey in Clybourne Park with The Drama Group of Germantown, Chick Boyle in Crimes of the Heart with Acting Naturally, Inc. in Langhorne, and the regional premier of The Charitable Sisterhood of the Second Trinity Victory Church at Actors’NET of Bucks County.
Other credits—Actors’NET: Laughter on the 23rd Floor (Carol Wyman), As You Like It (Phebe), The Cripple of Inishmaan (Helen McCormick); Playcrafters of Skippack: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania), The Two Gentlemen of Verona (Speed), Sweeney Todd (Beggar Woman), The Roar of the Greasepaint—The Smell of the Crowd (The Kid); Old Academy Players: Twelfth Night (Feste the Fool); Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Chester County: The Yeomen of the Guard (Phoebe Meryll); Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Society: Princess Ida (Melissa), Patience (Lady Saphir); Lafayette College Theater: Assassins (“Squeaky” Fromme), Sunday in the Park with George (Celeste 2/Elaine); The Changeling (Isabella).
